About Russell Talbert
Mr. Talbert’s proven method of ballet instruction combines authentic technique with choreography that excites and challenges young dances. he earned national acclaim for his youth programs and has danced professionally, internationally and with many of Chicago’s most respected dance companies.
In 2000, the Russell Talbert Dance Studio launched as an independent endeavor. Mr. Talbert is committed to teaching the highest level of ballet technique as students explore the creative, educational and cultural aspects of dance.
Mr. Russell Talbert received his B.A. degree in Dance & Theatre from Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois. He studied ballet at Stone & Camryn School of Ballet in Chicago, and also danced with:
- Dayton Contemporary Dance Company
- The San Antonio Ballet Company
- Joseph Holmes Dance Theatre
- and Chicago Dance Medium
His repertoire includes principle roles in The Nutcracker, Carmen, Romeo & Juliet, and Coppelia.
Mr. Talbert taught dance at Joseph Holmes Dance theatre, Chicago Dance Medium, Sammy Dyer School of Theatre, and Dayton Contemporary Dance Company. He has also taught ballet and choreographed for a two-week residency in Nassau Bahamas fro the Ballet National Dance Company, the Southside YMCA, as well as, the Russell Talbert Dance Studio.
